Coffee: Guatemala Acatenango El Carmen

El Carmen is located near the Acatenango volcano in the central province of Chimaltenango Finca.  Owner and operator Juan Jose Mejia grows Typica along with Tekisik Bourbon and Mondo Novo instead of the usually planted classic Bourbon.  The coffee is processed and sundried before it travels downhill for export.

Roast: Between a light & medium.  By Wrecking Ball Coffee Roasters.

Brewing method: French press

Aroma: Caramelized sugar and red berry

Taste: Sweet, clean, toffee, lingering chocolate, balanced
