Coffee and Custard? Yes please!

When it comes to coffee, the “affogato” has always been popular in Italy. Coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, what’s not to love? However, with vanilla prices soaring due to a worldwide shortage, folks in Italy are looking for cheaper alternatives. Enter the “custardo”. Coffee, but this time with a scoop of custard.

I’m obviously intrigued, and I think that the Portuguese might be too, what with their love of all things eggy and custardy. Hmm.
